Jennie Lee Riddle wins two awards at the
41st Annual Gospel Music Association Dove Awards
| On a night filled with amazing performances and celebration of God's gift
of music, Riddle walked away with dove awards for songwriter of the year and worship song of the year
for "Revelation Song" recorded by both Philips, Craig & Dean and Kari Jobe. "This one I'm having a hard time even believing. It's surreal," said Riddle as she collected her songwriter of the year honor. Backstage the teacher and mother of four said the song "came out of a very normal day raising my family. I wrote it like I write all my songs. It came from the life of a worshipper." In an email to the current Dean of Student Life at LCA, she states that "LCA was the early launching pad for this song. God births huge things out of that little country school. Still the most favorite and valuable work I've ever done." |
