The Warrior Weekly
In a word, Journalism.
Through the class, I’ve gotten to get out of my comfort zone by taking pictures on the football field and during volleyball games. I am learning how to write articles and what a dominant feature means in the Journalism world. But the real reason I am thankful for this class is because of the people in it.
Ms. Brown is the cure for any early, morning blues.
Ladan Spratt’s sassiness is something we could all use a little more of.
Rosalyn always comes through with all of our last minute articles or remembering to bring food on Friday.
Matthew turns every class into a game and encourages us, like the one time we had to write something encouraging about everyone and he wrote “girl” for mine. (Still the best encouragement I’ve ever gotten.)
Hayden is easy going yet really good at all that he does.
Shelby is the sweetest and jumps into every assignment even when she doesn’t know all the LCA things just yet.
Conner does everything, literally.
Savannah is the best writer and is never stressed out about the hundreds of articles we give her.
Gracie always wakes us up with either her loud laughing or her loud argument with Seth and Andrew, haha!
Emma Miksa is the glue that holds us all together and her design eye is probably why everything looks amazing!
Katelynn laughs at everyone’s jokes and is our sunshine even in the dark hour of 8:00 am.
Paul is the best photographer ever. No argument.
Erynn makes everything 10X cooler.
Noah is really patient when I want to change our volleyball pages completely.
Seth decorates everything and everyone with stickers… thanks?
Andrew makes sure we never have leftovers. And that we are always laughing.
Everybody in journalism contributes to the class in a different way. And if an 8:00 am class isn’t a way to bond people, then I don’t know what is. My only regret is just signing up for it my senior year! Thank You Journalism!!
P.S. (from Ms. Brown) Emma Harper brings an air of sweetness to all that she does, and I’m so grateful that she signed up for Journalism this year, otherwise I would have missed out on having her for a class!!
