The Character Training program at LCA exists to encourage, teach and train the LCA teachers, parents, coaches and students in the perfection of virtue and the development of character. Our goals are:

• To help provide the LCA community with a vocabulary for character development
• To help parents and students recognize that academic problems are often character issues
• To employ the classroom, athletic field, fine arts and chapel programs in building and perfecting character
• To define, according to character traits and virtues, what it means to be a man and what it means to be a woman
• To help parents, teachers, coaches and students identify their core values and apply them in their parenting, teaching, coaching and learning
• To help students recognize that behaviors are choices we make according to what we value and believe
• To help discipline students toward correction, rather than punishment, according to Biblical principles
