Lucas Christian Academy (LCA) is a unique, private Christian school utilizing the University Model Schooling (UMS) approach.  The UMS model is a proven method of education that combines the professional instruction of a classroom teacher and the one-on-one guidance of each student's parent.

LCA opened its doors in August of 2000 and currently offers classes for grades 1-12.  Kindergarten will be added in the 2008-2009 school year. 

LCA students attend classes at the school on M/W/F or T/Th and receive guidance by a parent on the satellite classroom days at home.  Elementary students (1^st-6^th) enroll for either a morning or afternoon academic block or both.  Secondary students (7^th-12^th) enroll only for the courses needed or for a full academic load.
